Job description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Marine to lead and deliver complex marine and coastal infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing marine construction works such as quay walls, jetties, breakwaters, dredging, and coastal protection, ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of marine construction projects, including planning, resource allocation, and delivery.
  • Manage construction activities related to jetties, quay walls, breakwaters, revetments, dredging, and shoreline protection.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress against key milestones.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, port authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Oversee subcontractors, marine crews, and site teams, ensuring optimal productivity and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards, particularly marine safety protocols, lifting operations, and offshore risks.
  • Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and technical submittals.
  • Manage procurement of marine equipment such as barges, tugs, cranes, and dredgers.
  • Identify project risks (weather, tides, logistics constraints) and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Lead project meetings, progress reviews, and reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all works comply with contractual obligations, quality standards, and local authority regulations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience, with a strong focus on marine and coastal infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record in delivering projects involving:
    • Marine structures (quay walls, jetties, breakwaters)
    • Dredging and reclamation works
  • Strong knowledge of marine construction methodologies, sequencing, and logistics.
  • Experience working with UAE authorities (Ports, Municipalities, or similar regulatory bodies) is highly preferred.
  • Sound understanding of FIDIC contracts and project commercial management.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in challenging marine environments.
