Senior Engineer, Engineering - CAPEX

Engineer 2, CAPEX (Engineering) Location: Singapore

As a CAPEX Engineer, you will support project execution that helps ensure safe, efficient, and reliable site operations at Lonza Singapore. You will work closely with teams across the site to deliver impactful engineering solutions.

What you will do

• Develop the site’s five‑year master CAPEX plan with users, including capital expense estimates.
• Execute assigned CAPEX projects within the approved scope, budget, and schedule.
• Lead feasibility, concept, basic, and detailed design phases to define clear project requirements.
• Manage contractors to ensure project quality, costs, and timelines meet expectations.
• Coordinate commissioning, IQ, and OQ activities and ensure complete project closeout.
• Recommend improvements to equipment, processes, and operations to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Support customer queries, technology transfers, risk assessments, and inspection readiness.

What we are looking for

• Experience in planning, executing, monitoring, and closing engineering CAPEX projects.
• Knowledge of cGMP, GDP, and GEP principles.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with diverse teams.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and word‑processing tools.
• Motivation to improve systems, processes, and operations for safer, more efficient performance.
• A collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
