Short film editor

We’re looking for a highly skilled video editor to take a short film through full post-production — from raw footage to final, polished cut.

This is not just basic editing. We need someone who understands storytelling, pacing, and cinematic tone.

Scope of Work

• Edit raw footage into a compelling short film (narrative-driven)
• Sound design and audio balancing (dialogue clarity, ambient sound, etc.)
• Color correction + cinematic color grading
• Transitions, pacing, and continuity refinement
• Optional: light VFX / cleanup if needed
• Final export optimized for festival + digital release

Style We’re Looking For

• Strong cinematic feel (think indie film / festival quality)
• Emotional pacing and attention to detail
• Ability to elevate storytelling through editing

Requirements

• Proven experience editing short films or narrative content
• Strong portfolio (please include links)
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar
• Experience with color grading (DaVinci preferred)
• Good communication and ability to take feedback

Nice to Have

• Experience with film festival submissions
• Sound design background
• Basic motion graphics / VFX
