Associate Data Modeller
Job description
What you will do:
You will report into the Data Modeller - Manager.
- Perform the extraction, formulation and manipulation of data to create the structured samples necessary to address requirements.
- Follow best practice procedures throughout the analytics solution delivery process.
- Implement appropriate quality control procedures for all modelling and analysis reporting and scoring.
- Reduce error rate and re-run frequency to meet both the analytical & business objective.
- Perform audits to help implement analytical solutions and other decision tools.
- Collaborate with internal and external clients to determine the appropriate performance measures and statistical metrics to be applied during the analysis project
- Coordinate data receipt and delivery with internal and external clients
- Plan, organise and complete own workload and oversee the workload of any Junior Data Modellers on the project, to meet project commitments within agreed schedules.
- Identify how the results can be verified and produce the analysis required to demonstrate this.
What you will bring:
- University degree with a high numerical content (such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics)
- 2+ years of experience in the field of data analytics
- Knowledge in statistical software packages and other related technologies
- Fluent English – written and spoken
- Working knowledge in Python – preferably both Python's own syntax but also some of its main analytical packages (such as Pandas, Numpy, scikit-learn)
- Understanding of how and when to apply analytical approaches including regression analysis and machine learning
- Grasp of probability, statistical inference, optimization algorithms, linear algebra, and calculus
- Experience with BI Tools such as Tableau and Power BI will be considered as an advantage
