JOB SUMMARY
The Barback is responsible for supporting the various bars at The Barnett Hotel (Lobby, Rooftop Pool, Good Measures Music Hall) and ensuring they have everything to operate. Supports the team before, during and after service. Assists with inventory, stocking, and managing shifts to maintain a successful operation.
Job Qualifications
Qualified candidates must be able to satisfactorily complete the following responsibilities.
Assists bartenders in daily functions of restocking (liquor, beer, garnishes, juices, etc.).
Remove plates and silverware when guests are finished (pre-bus).
Maintain stock of all glassware and other utensils; wash dirty utensils as needed.
Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
Performs side work as needed throughout the shift.
Follows all safety and sanitation policies.
Other duties may be assigned.
Job Requirements
High School Degree
Minimum 18 years of age
US work authorization required
Skills
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in verbal and written English with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
Prioritize and organize work assignments, and have timely follow-up and execution.
Have superb time management skills.
Maintain complete knowledge of all hotel services/features and hours of operation.
Previous hotel/resort experience preferred
Physical Requirements
Sit, walk, and stand continuously.
Lift / carry 25lbs (frequently) and 50lbs (occasionally)
Bend, squat, crawl, and reach above shoulder level.
Use dominant hand coordination for simple grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine manipulation.
May be exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, dampness, height, and moving machinery.
