The SAP CO role is a critical position within the Renesas organization, responsible for supporting SAP Controlling and Product Costing across SAP and integrated Finance business applications. This role plays a key part in ensuring stable operations, effective financial processes, and continuous improvement of SAP CO solutions.
You will work closely with cross‑functional IT and business teams to support day‑to‑day operations as well as project and enhancement initiatives. The role involves partnering with business stakeholders to understand and refine requirements, proposing functional designs aligned with business needs, performing SAP CO configurations, and preparing clear functional documentation for custom developments. You will also support solution validation through testing activities and assist the business in deploying and adopting efficient, automated solutions.
Functional Requirements:
- Provide post–go‑live support and execute SAP implementation and development activities, with a focus on SAP Controlling (CO) and product costing.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve user-reported incidents, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Manage and implement change requests by translating new business requirements into functional SAP solutions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including configuration details, functional specifications, test scripts, end‑user manuals, and training materials.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand process requirements and deliver solutions that simplify operations and improve efficiency.
- Conduct training sessions for key users and end users, clearly explaining technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
Must Have Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated curiosity and analytical, system-level thinking.
- Strong, process‑oriented approach to problem solving.
- Hands-on experience in SAP CO configuration (typically 3-5+ years)
Good to Have Requirements:
- Foundational knowledge or hands‑on experience in SAP Product Costing.
- Basic working knowledge of SQL or experience with data analysis in SAP environments
Interview Expectations:
- The interview will be a two‑way conversation where we explore your experience, interests, and how your skills align with the role and with Renesas.
- You will have the opportunity to discuss your background and experience related to SAP CO and controlling processes.
- We will also explore how you approach analysis, problem solving, and complex system or process‑based scenarios.
- Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience in product costing will be considered as a significant advantage and an opportunity to stand out.
