Job Description:

SHIFT: Needs to be available for shifts between 6a and 11p during the day

• Contacts key personnel after hours as needed.
• Maintains an operational call log of all activities, requests, and issues.
• Cultivates accurate knowledge of hospital disaster codes and announces them efficiently according to procedure.
• Projects a positive and helpful demeanor while working with patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic understanding of numerous computer systems. [Required]
• Must be proficient in the English language. [Required]
• Ability to communicate effectively. [Required]
• Customer service skills required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Ability to work with attention to detail in reading, writing, and computer tasks required.
• Organizational and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to answer calls promptly, courteously, and accurately required.
• Knowledge of basic insurance concepts preferred.
• Bi-lingual abilities preferred.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions required.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays required.
• Ability and willingness to adapt to change required.
• Clear and precise speaking abilities required.

Education:
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
