What you need to know 

  • This is a temporary part-time position and does not include eligibility for benefits.

  • The primary duty station for this position will be TTI RELLIS campus in Bryan, TX. Due to the nature of this position, there is not a hybrid remote option available.  

  • The hourly pay for position is commensurate. Final pay will be determined based on the applicant's qualifications and experience. 

  • A Presidential proclamation issued on September 19, 2025, imposes a $100,000 fee on new H-1B petitions filed after September 21, 2025. Please be advised that Texas A&M University will NOT pay this fee. Therefore, if you need immigration sponsorship for your employment, we recommend that you consult with your private immigration counsel at your own expense to ascertain whether your current immigration status would make a potential offer of employment from Texas A&M University subject to this fee. 

  • In addition, on January 27, 2026, Texas Governor Abbot issued a moratorium on the filing of any new H-1B unless approved by the Texas Workforce Commission. Accordingly, if you will now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status this moratorium may affect our ability to employ you should you be selected as the final candidate 

HR Specialist II - Wellness & SECC

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and monitors the annual State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) for TTI, including serving as the SECC coordinator, disseminating campaign materials and communications, and organizing fundraising activities.

  • Oversees the TTI Wellness Program, including planning, coordination, and monitoring of wellness initiatives and related logistics. Identifies opportunities to enhance the program and chairs the TTI Wellness Council and related activities.

  • Develops and distributes program communications and marketing materials, including promotional content for wellness initiatives and SECC activities, in collaboration with TTI Communications.

  • Confers with staff on program issues and provides recommendations to improve operations.

  • Assists with the development and maintenance of related policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years of related experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience coordinating events and associated logistics, including scheduling, planning, and preparing materials.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.

  • Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.
