About the Team
DoorDash is revolutionizing the delivery experience for merchants and customers by offering the next generation of fulfillment services. We’re looking for someone to join the Commerce Platform New Verticals team to rapidly scale our next big bet.
About the Role
The Manager, Commerce Platform Strategy & Operations will build the roadmap for how our product stands apart in the market. You will call the shots on how we distinguish our service experience against our competitors and drive growth within our partnership portfolio. You will be responsible for proposing new service offerings, building business cases, designing implementation strategies, scaling new services across the network, and driving adoption. You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations, and business development to bring your vision to life.
The ideal candidate for this role should be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to take ownership of ambiguous opportunities and build structured product and service strategies from scratch. You are comfortable identifying gaps in the market, dreaming up creative solutions, and turning ambitious ideas into operational reality.
You will report to the Director, Commerce Platform New Verticals S&O (Growth).
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Lead: Lead a team of ICs on high visibility, cross-functional projects to address our most unique and challenging questions. Most importantly: how do we differentiate our product in the market?
- Strategize: Develop the product strategy to grow a high-potential offering within a high-growth business, with a focus on Merchant and Customer Experience
- Build: Build hands-on the processes, tools, and connections to achieve that growth.
- Operate: Get to the lowest level of detail. You’ll have a deep understanding of how our business operates, and use that to scale.
- Collaborate: You value partnerships, and will excel at working both directly with our Merchants and across Product, Business Development, Operations, Engineering, and more to build out the next differentiated product offering for our business.
- Analyze: You are adept at analyzing complex data sets paired with partner team feedback to provide insights and recommendations to our leadership.
We’re excited about you because…
- You have 6+ years of experience, ideally with experience in consulting, strategy & operations, or product management at a tech, retail/ecom, or logistics company
- You imagine, develop, and execute on workstreams from start to completion with little oversight
- You have a talent for summarizing complex problems, and can translate high-level goals into actionable plans
- You are resourceful and can engage other teams and resources to independently figure out answers to nebulous questions
- You oscillate easily from strategic considerations to tactical execution
- Are a self-starter who is energized by a difficult problem
- You display extreme ownership across every workstream while ruthlessly prioritizing what will actually move the needle
- You maintain a careful balance between attention to detail and swift execution
- You operate comfortably in ambiguous environments while maintaining a strong bias for action
- You have experience managing a team
- You communicate precisely dependent on audience and level of detail necessary to share
- Experience in a complex or high-growth environment required
- MBA preferred
We expect this position to be filled by 5/31/2026.
