The Opportunity 

As a Personal Training Manager at Goodlife Health Clubs, you’re the driving force behind a thriving PT community. Naturally target driven, you’ll recruit, mentor and develop a team of passionate Personal Trainers, helping them build successful businesses while guiding members toward stronger bodies, healthier minds and lasting lifestyle change. 

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll energise and coach your PT team to grow their client base, deliver outstanding coaching experiences and create real impact for every member they work with. Through clear direction, ongoing mentoring and genuine belief in your team, you’ll help trainers reach their potential while contributing to the club’s overall growth and momentum.

 

You’ll also bring national fitness initiatives to life inside your club, turning big ideas into meaningful experiences that benefit both trainers and members. Working closely with the club leadership team, you’ll help create a positive, high-performing environment where trainers can thrive, members feel supported, and success is shared. 

At Goodlife you will use your fitness expertise to build a community that changes lives 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Recruitment of trainers who have an appropriate fit for your existing team 

  • Development of your team members in their practical skill sets and knowledge 

  • Helping educate your team on relevant business management practices for personal trainers 

  • Implementation and management of Goodlife's national fitness projects within your club 

  • Managing budgeted targets and financial administration tasks 

  • Collaborative management of your club within your surrounding management team 

 

To be successful in this role you will need: 

Qualifications: 

  • Certificate IV in Fitness or above 

  • AUSactive/ Fitrec registration 

  • Current First Aid and CPR 

  • Working with Children check 

Experience & attributes: 

  • Minimum 2 years of industry related experience &/or managing a personal training business 

  • Accomplished personal trainer with a successful track record and client base 

  • The ability to lead, inspire and motivate a team with the use of excellent communication  

  • Confidence to proactively engage with Goodlife members and work autonomously 

  • An enthusiasm for health & fitness and helping others.
