Job Title: Environmental Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering principles, particularly in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering, and will be passionate about contributing to diverse environmental projects across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering design and technical analysis using CAD tools such as AutoCAD.
- Work across various environmental regulatory programs, including CERCLA, RCRA, stormwater, and other compliance programs.
- Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and project deliverables.
- Support project managers and Sr engineers while working independently.
- Engage in a non-routine workload that varies weekly, requiring adaptability and flexibility.
- Collaborate effectively within a team-based consulting environment.
- Travel nationally up to 30% to support projects at federal and military installations.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline (civil, chemical, mechanical).
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in environmental or engineering fields.
- EIT certification is required, with a PE license preferred, especially for candidates with 6-8 years of experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD-based design tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Eligibility to work on federal and military installations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with federal or Department of Defense environmental projects.
- Familiarity with environmental permitting, audits, and regulatory coordination.
- Ability to mentor junior staff and step into leadership roles as experience grows.
- Strong technical writing skills for clear communication with teams and clients.
- Interest in professional growth across multiple environmental programs.
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work environment with four days in the office and one remote day on Wednesdays. The role involves national travel to military bases and federal facilities for project needs. Employees enjoy a clear growth path, mentorship from Professional Engineers, and unlimited PTO. The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
