Senior Software Engineer

CyberArk is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Machine Identity Security team, focused on backend systems and platform integrations. In this role, you will contribute to building scalable backend services that support certificate lifecycle management and secure machine identity at scale.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and architecture of backend features for the Machine Identity Security platform
• Develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Golang and/or Java
• Build integrations and tooling that support platform extensibility, including APIs, SDKs, and system-to-system integrations
• Design and work within distributed systems that support high-scale, reliable platform operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across distributed services
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support platform reliability and performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on backend engineering
• Strong proficiency in Golang and/or Java
• Experience building scalable backend or distributed systems
• Experience working with APIs, microservices, and modern cloud-native architectures
• Familiarity with technologies such as GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, or similar tool
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative engineering environment
• Ability to learn and apply domain-specific concepts such as certificate lifecycle management, PKI, or AI-driven integrations as part of the role

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to security-related systems such as certificate lifecycle management, PKI, or identity platforms
• Experience or interest in AI-driven or intelligent system integrations
• Experience developing SDKs or platform integrations (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools)

The salary range for this position is $130,000 – $190,000/year, plus commissions or discretionary bonus, which will be based on the employee’s performance. Base pay may also vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits.
