Senior Automation Quality Engineer - Tieto Tech Consulting (m/f/d)

We are looking to hire a skilled Senior Automation Quality Engineer to join a leading digital health solutions provider in the health tech industry. You will design, build, and maintain test automation for a regulated eConsent product, covering web applications and backend services. The role focuses on automation frameworks, end-to-end test suites, CI/CD integration, and delivering validation-ready evidence, while also performing manual testing for exploratory work, complex defects, and edge cases. 

 

Key Responsibilities    

• Define and implement a risk-based automated testing strategy covering unit, integration, contract, end-to-end, and non-functional tests  

• Build and maintain scalable, maintainable automation for critical eConsent workflows, including consent review, capture, versioning, amendments, re-consent, withdrawal, and audit/evidence verification  

• Design robust test data and environment strategies to ensure reliable and repeatable test execution  

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with stable execution, actionable reporting, and effective quality gates  

• Continuously improve test reliability by reducing flakiness through enhanced engineering practices, observability, and diagnostics 

 

Required Experience & Qualifications     

• Extensive hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining automated test solutions within modern product teams  

• Strong software engineering skills in TypeScript and/or Java, with a focus on clean code, refactoring, code reviews, and reusable frameworks  

• Proven expertise in API and UI/E2E test automation using modern tools such as Playwright  

• Demonstrated ability to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines with stable execution, meaningful reporting, and effective quality gates  

• Experience testing distributed systems, including managing environments, dependencies, and scalable test data strategies  

• Solid understanding of risk-based testing, defect management, and collaborative practices that drive product quality 

• Strong communication and collaboration skills 

• Excellent spoken and written English language skills 

 

A significant advantage would be   

• Experience with eConsent solutions or other regulated workflow capabilities within healthcare or clinical systems  

• Familiarity with non-functional testing (performance, reliability, security), including enabling and integrating these tests within CI/CD pipelines 

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
