Job description

Job Title: Project Coordinator/Assistance Program Manager

Location: New Brunswick, NJ (Onsite – Hybrid)

Position Type: Fulltime position

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include

  • Oversee project application submittals for potential incentive/rebate funding. Projects submitted for program review and incentive consideration are focused on energy efficiency and may include but are not limited to: ASHRAE II/III energy audit, HVAC/building tune-ups, retro-commissioning, energy savings calculations, bid, MEP design, construction administration, commissioning, and Measurement & Verification.
  • Learn and utilize designated database to progress project applications through required milestones and ensure accurate entry of savings, incentives, and project information.
  • Perform administrative project review, which focuses on confirming that applicant and project are eligible for the program, have submitted complete documentation, and generally comply with established program requirements.
  • Manage multiple commercial and industrial energy efficiency projects simultaneously and meet deadlines and client expectations.
  • Manage projects and/or customers from project inception through rebate/incentive payment.
  • Coordinate site visits with inspection staff.
  • Coordinate with engineering staff to complete project technical reviews and prepare projects for approval and rebate/incentive payment.
  • Communicate with customer and/or trade ally to track and resolve project deficiencies.
  • Keep Program Manager and/or Client aware of project schedules and progress and providing regular budget updates as requested.
  • Conducting meetings and/or attending occasional on-site meetings and presentations.
  • Providing technical support for outreach team on technical and program related questions
  • Take point on lead hand-offs from outreach and convert to a project.
  • Provide support to Trade Ally coordinator, particularly with review of qualifications of new trade allies.
  • Stay informed about energy issues and industry trends through regular technical reading and participation in local and national professional organizations.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s in Construction, Engineering, Sustainability, or similar studies.
  • 3-5 years of experience in energy efficiency, sustainability, or related sectors.
  • Knowledge of building systems and energy efficiency technologies (e.g. HVAC, lighting, etc.)
  • Candidates must possess strong technical writing skills and aptitude for communicating (written and oral) technical and program concepts to clients, contractors, consumers, and other interested people or organizations.
  • Team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive, and client-focused.

Desired Accreditation

  • CEM or CEA accreditation is a plus.
  • EIT accreditation is a plus.
