We are hiring an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of industrial storage racking installation projects across the United States. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a background in construction project management, steel erection, material handling systems, or warehouse racking installations.
This position is responsible for managing projects from pre-installation planning through final completion, supporting system design and quoting, and expanding a network of subcontracted installation crews. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong technical and organizational skills, and is comfortable traveling to job sites nationwide. Key Responsibilities Project Management & Installation Oversight
- Manage end-to-end project execution for storage rack installation projects, including planning, scheduling, and completion
- Coordinate with production and shipping teams to ensure materials arrive onsite in alignment with installation schedules
- Travel to job sites nationwide to support site assessments, pre-installation planning, installation supervision, and project closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, dealers, and customers to ensure clear communication and project alignment Design, Layout & Quoting
- Assist in the design of industrial storage rack systems and preparation of project quotes
- Review and verify layout drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and proposals for accuracy and feasibility
- Partner with the Project Engineer to coordinate design review meetings with customers and installation teams Subcontractor & Installer Network Development
- Identify, qualify, and build relationships with subcontracted installation crews and field installers
- Solicit, evaluate, and compare installer bids and project quotes
- Maintain a strong network of reliable regional and national installation partners Process Improvement & Quality Support
- Develop and refine installation documentation, including scopes of work, checklists, and installation guidelines
- Support dealer and customer success through clear and standardized processes
- Continuously improve internal tools, workflows, and installation procedures to drive efficiency, safety, and quality
- Partner with the Quality team to resolve customer issues, installation challenges, and product concerns Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in project management, construction management, or installation coordination, preferably in steel erection, industrial racking, or material handling systems
- Working knowledge of warehouse racking systems and installation best practices
- Experience managing subcontractors and third-party installation teams
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software/tools
- Willingness and ability to travel 30-50% nationwide
