## Welder Laborer Position
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Welder Laborers for projects located in Ruther Glenn, VA. This is an opportunity with multiple shifts available and with a pay rate up to $20/hr based on experience and skill level. If you are a Welder Laborer eager to demonstrate your knowledge and skills while learning new ones, this is your chance to advance in your career!
## What You'll Be Doing
Your role involves supporting welding operations and preparing materials for production. You'll assist in cutting, grinding, deburring, and cleaning metal surfaces to prepare them for welding. Material handling is a key part of the job—you'll load, unload, and transport materials to and from welding stations using appropriate equipment like forklifts, hoists, and hand trucks.
Measuring, marking, and positioning materials and components for welders ensures accuracy in the welding process. You'll help set up and dismantle welding equipment, including machines, cables, and gas cylinders. Keeping tools and equipment in top condition is essential, so you'll clean and maintain welding tools and equipment such as grinders, torches, and welding guns to ensure they're in good working order.
Monitoring and maintaining appropriate stock levels of welding consumables like electrodes, wire, and gas keeps operations running smoothly. During welding or tacking operations, you'll hold or secure parts in place as needed. You'll also perform basic grinding and brushing of welds to remove excess material or impurities. Operating hand and power tools as directed by the welder is part of your daily routine, and under supervision, you may perform basic tack welding or simple fabrication tasks.
## What We're Looking For
You must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
## Benefits & Rewards
Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities—we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry. Our comprehensive benefits include the Tradesmen+ Rewards Program where you earn points for hours worked, vacation pay, health insurance, and a 401(k) profit-sharing savings plan.
