Job description

McDowell & Associates is looking for an entry-mid level civil engineer with an interest in geotechnical engineering to join our company office in Midland, Michigan.

The ideal candidate is someone eager to learn about the geotechnical engineering field from geoenvironmental investigations, to geotechnical engineering, through the construction testing and qualify control process. Strengths should include being detail-oriented, organized, and looking to be an active team member to help lead and manage multiple projects. Experience in construction and site development would be a plus.

McDowell & Associates is a Geotechnical and Environmental Engineering firm founded in 1978. With offices in Ferndale and Midland, Michigan, our engineering and professional staff provide expert consulting services throughout the State of Michigan with occasional projects in other parts of the country.

Our clients are developers, builders, and property owners who need to assess property prior to acquisition or have encountered challenges with construction, financing, or regulatory issues. Our work in Midland is centered around industrial clients in that part of the state.

McDowell & Associates’ corporate philosophy is to focus our consulting and engineering to achieve outcomes that are solution-oriented and cost-effective. We have an amazing client base that uses us exclusively due to the trust we have developed with them over the course of over 45 years.

Our training program is a blend of formal training and hands-on projects that will challenge you and help you grow and develop into a well-rounded and accomplished engineer. Our Midland team is experienced and respected in the industry, and looks forward to meeting you.
