Job Title: System Engineer III

Location: Bellevue, WA

Duration: 11 Months (Possibility of extension or conversion)

Job Description

  • In this role, you will design and develop solutions involving robotics, data management and precision conveyance
  • You will participate in large-scale control engineering projects, supporting global deployments of equipment
  • You will work independently with internal and external engineering teams to successfully deliver cross-functional projects that are of a high quality (e.g., on-time, on-budget, maintainable, low-defects, etc.).
  • Partner with project managers and external vendors to set project priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules to meet a deadline.
  • Influence technical documentation content, perform documentation review, dive deep into RCA and solutions
  • Competently represent system and/or equipment designs to both customers and other teams and communicate project status, effectively answer project questions in detail, and regularly produce clear and concise summaries for the projects you own to your leadership/management team.
  • Excel at developing good working relationships with vendors, engineers, managers, and peers.
  • Participate in design reviews and support execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors including equipment specifications, material flow, process design, and site layout.
  • Build strong working relationships with Fulfillment Center leadership and their operations teams across multiple sites as well as their Launch, Facilities, Process Engineers, and other business stakeholders.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives in support of operations teams.
  • Travel up to 10% domestically

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineer, Mechatronics, Robotics or related discipline
  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience in IPC/PLC code development and installation of controls solutions, preferred platforms are AB and Siemens.
  • Working experience using Linux or QNX platforms
  • Understanding of industrial networking (Profibus, ASi and Industrial Ethernet) and Ethernet Networking solutions and concepts.
  • Experience with creating automated alarms, reports and KPI metrics for plant management.
