Automated Design (ADS) Engineer
Who we’re looking for
- Detail-driven Systems Engineer who can own requirements, lead DRBFM, and drive action-item closure across stakeholders. You’ll pair systems thinking with hands-on software and test integration to help deliver the next generation of automated driving systems.
What you’ll be doing
- Own system requirements. Capture, decompose, and maintain traceable, testable requirements from concept through release; manage baselines and change control.
- Lead DRBFM. Plan, facilitate, and document DRBFM sessions; translate risks into design actions and verification plans; ensure timely closure.
- Design with developers. Work with ADS software engineers to shape control/decision logic (C/C++), align interfaces, and incorporate safety concepts into design.
- Integrate and verify. Coordinate SIL/HIL/vehicle-level testing; ensure system requirements integrate cleanly to software components and different ECUs specs.
Requirements
- *Coding exercise will be required for the candidate to complete if they are selected to move forward in the interview process. Coding is not a requirement for the role however it is listed as HIGHLY DESIRED from this team. This teams requires someone who can understand the system level, requirements and documentation.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- Automotive background (ADAS/ADS, chassis, powertrain, or similar safety-critical domain). (3 years)
- Systems experience managing requirements and interfaces for complex embedded/vehicle systems and respective tooling such as Jama, Jira/Azure DevOps for tracking. (3 years)
- Hands-on DRBFM leadership and follow-up through verified closure. (3 years)
- Software literacy: C/C++ fundamentals; ability to read code and collaborate effectively with developers. (3 years)
- Networking: Working knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet and related tooling. (3 years)
- Documentation: Clear, concise spec and requirements writing with strong attention to traceability and version control. (3 years)
WHAT YOU MAY BRING
- Exposure to ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), SOTIF (ISO 21448), and/or ASPICE practices.
- Experience with requirements/tooling: Jama, or Polarion; Jira/Azure DevOps for tracking.
- Test environments: MIL/SIL/HIL, CANoe/Vector toolchain
- Scripting/analysis in Python and/or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Familiarity with SOME/IP, diagnostics (UDS), and over-the-air update concepts.
- CI/CD and code review workflows (Git, GitLab/Jenkins).
