Job description

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support our client’s projects—from early scoping and design through commissioning and closeout. This role provides engineering expertise, ensures compliance with project requirements and standards, and supports effective coordination across project teams. Hybrid assignment – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote with per-diem for travel and expenses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project development, scoping, EPC bid packages, and interconnection design.
  • Assist with cost estimates, schedules, risk analysis, bid evaluations, and contract documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews, drawing reviews, technical RFI resolution, construction support, and performance testing.
  • Prepare accurate technical reports, calculations, sketches, and documentation.
  • Conduct and review power system studies and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional day travel.

Additional Experience Requirements

  • Natural‑gas‑fired generating facilities (Simple or Combined Cycle).
  • Performing electrical power system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, grounding).
  • NERC requirements for Bulk Electric System (BES) generation assets.

PPE Required: Hard hat, face shield, fire‑retardant gear, safety gloves, and steel‑toe shoes.
