Job Description

  • Conduct initial declassification reviews in support of Government agency
  • Analyze unclassified and classified documents to determine the appropriate action needed in accordance with E.O. 13526
  • Demonstrate understanding of document markings
  • Utilize analytical skills to make determinations on documents for release, referral to other agencies, and exemption from automatic declassification
  • Recognize possible nuclear weapons and intelligence information
  • Properly handle boxes and documents (boxes can weigh between 15-25 lbs.) and ensure integrity of each and every box remains intact
  • Have the ability to perform reviews and evaluations on records using the declassification review process, using classification guides, exhibit personal recognition of other agency equities, proper use of dispositions as applied to documents reviewed and display mastery of the data management system.
  • At a minimum, have experience working on classified projects and proficient with safeguarding, maintaining and the proper handling of classified records.
  • The Records Management Analyst I(s) must be willing to interact with government employees and providing feedback and instruction to other employees

Job Requirements

  • a) At least two (2) years of military experience, OR
  • b) At least two (2) years of experience in the field of specialized expertise which include performance of the following functions with respect to Army Records Management to include Declassification, FOIA, or Privacy, OR
  • c) A bachelor's or postgraduate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At a minimum, be knowledgeable of Records Management and/or Declassification Requirements.
