Position Title: Accounts Receivable Analyst
Location: Sterling - hybrid position 3x/week on-site
Assignment Type: 3-6 month contract with potential for contract-to-hire
Compensation: $29-33/hr
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Job Description
- Record and post customer payments accurately and promptly, following established guidelines
- Reconcile customer accounts by investigating and resolving discrepancies, including unapplied or incorrectly applied payments
- Create and review invoices to confirm accuracy and proper supporting documentation
- Track accounts receivable aging and help ensure timely collection of outstanding balances
- Research and resolve billing and payment issues in collaboration with internal teams
- Log, monitor, and follow up on customer account issues to ensure they are resolved quickly
- Assist with releasing orders by checking account status and addressing any account holds
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to support accurate billing and account management
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer records, including billing and payment details
- Organize and retain documentation for AR transactions to support audits and compliance
- Follow internal controls, company policies, and financial reporting standards
- Identify and escalate complex discrepancies or system-related issues affecting receivables
- Support month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business or a related discipline
- At least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role
- Advanced Excel skills (functions including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs etc)
Experience working with a large ERP system ideal
