We are seeking Project Managers to supervise a professional support services contract team in support of the Surface Ship Maintenance, Modernization and Sustainment (SEA 21) Directorate within the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) headquarters at the Washington Navy Yard. This position entails managing a diverse team of professionals providing support across program management, technical services, logistics, and business functions. You will be responsible for successful execution of a five-year task order supporting the Navy's surface fleet maintenance and modernization efforts, ensuring our team delivers high-quality, compliant support to critical naval operations. This includes overseeing the management and execution of readiness and sustainment initiatives for the Navy’s surface fleet and supporting the SEA 21 mission of integrating maintenance strategies, modernization plans, training needs, and technical, logistics, and programmatic efforts to manage the lifecycle of U.S. and partner Navy surface ships and systems from fleet introduction through transfer or disposal.
As Project Manager, you will assist the Program Manager with overall program coordination, communications, and integration of maintenance, modernization, and sustainment performance information in support of the Navy’s Surface Warfare Enterprise. You will help oversee the SEA 21 Maintenance Operations Center and Sustainment War Room operations and ensure readiness metrics and sustainment data are accurately tracked, analyzed, and reported to senior leadership. This position requires a background in Navy project management with specific expertise in fleet readiness and sustainment initiatives.
Project Managers are concerned with the overall planning, direction and success of major programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives which have great significance to the Navy’s ship maintenance and modernization needs. The programs are typically large, multi-year efforts divided into several sub-programs/tasks. Project Managers are also responsible for the organization and direction of short and long range plans. This includes establishing and controlling technical milestones, schedules, budgets, costs, and formulating, guiding, and directing technical approaches.

- Bachelor's degree (OR Associate's degree with 6 years' experience OR High School diploma with 9 years' experience)
- 5+ years of related experience
- Active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship
- Salary Range: $78,900 - $123,300
Senior Level
- Bachelor's degree (OR Associate's degree OR High School diploma with11 years' experience)
- 10+ years of related experience
- Active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship
- Salary Range: $95,500 - $149,200
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- PMP Certification
- 7+ (Mid) / 15+ (Senior) years professional experience
- Experience managing projects in a DoD environment

The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked.
