Operations Director
We are on the lookout for a seasoned and dynamic Operations Director to spearhead our expanding custom cabinetry and millwork division. In this pivotal role, you will take charge of all daily operations, including profitability management, sales strategies, estimating, drafting, project oversight, and team leadership. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving profitability, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering robust relationships with our vendors, customers, and employees. Key Responsibilities of the Operations Director
- Manage and oversee all aspects of daily operations, including sales, estimating, drafting, project management, and customer service.
- Craft and execute strategies aimed at driving revenue growth, enhancing profitability, and expanding our market footprint.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key vendors, suppliers, contractors, and customers.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, coordinate procurement activities, and ensure timely product delivery to customers.
- Lead, train, and develop team members across various departments, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to guarantee operational excellence and achieve business objectives.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, company policies, and all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create promotional strategies and pursue new business opportunities.
- Oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to maximize profitability and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive activity to sustain our competitive advantage.
Qualifications for the Operations Director
- A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in the cabinetry and millwork sector.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and enhance operational efficiency.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, procurement processes, and logistics.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in business management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems).
- In-depth knowledge of safety standards and compliance regulations within the distribution and building materials industry.
- Adept at managing budgets, analyzing financial data, and generating performance reports.
