Job Description We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our client's team in fighting for justice for adult survivors of child sexual abuse. The ideal Senior Litigation Associate will be responsible for all aspects of litigation, including but not limited to: drafting complaints, responding to written discovery, conducting depositions, case management and eventually, trial.
The ideal Senior Associate will also have the opportunity to supervise more junior attorneys and to independently carry a caseload to develop their own area of expertise. Growth and opportunity for advancement within the office is expected.
Requirements
Experience/Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience as an attorney practicing state court civil litigation is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive and confidential matters, including cases involving abuse, sexual misconduct, violent crimes, and other traumatic experiences, with professionalism, discretion, and empathy
- Experience leading junior associates.
- Experience in the representation of plaintiffs in injury matters is preferred, however, attorneys with other applicable experience in the litigation of liability, such as insurance defense, may also be considered.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the Maryland State Bar (in good standing)
