Job description

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: PA-Audubon, 100% Remote

Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Senior Data Modeler, you will join Turnberry's Data Strategy and Intelligence practice and service. This service provides insights into company data, advanced analytics solutions, robust data governance, and tailored solutions for specific data challenges.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for Product domains and entities

Design and implement product entities, attributes, hierarchies, relationships, and reference data

Proficient in handling complex data mappings

Translate business requirements into data structures, constraints, and validation rules

Perform data modeling and schema design for the Master data platform

Handle schema evolution, source changes, and ingestion failures within the MDM platform

Build and maintain outbound data feeds downstream consuming systems

Support configuration of business process workflows related to product data creation, updates, and approval within MDM platform

Collaborate with business SMEs, data governance, and engineering teams to align data designs

Support data quality analysis and issue resolution

Document data models, definitions, and domain standards

Support deployments, testing, and production operations

Automate tasks and deploy production standard code (with unit testing, continuous integration, versioning, etc.)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar

Knowledge of industry best practices for data modeling and database design

Strong expertise in relational data modelling (Conceptual/Logical/Physical)

Strong understanding of SQL and data modeling concepts

Deep understanding of relational database design and normalization

Experience defining entities, attributes, and complex relationships

Ability to model hierarchies and domain specific structures

Master Data Management experience

Knowledge of Databricks, Purview, Snowflake, Qlik, or Alteryx

Knowledge of data governance and data management concepts

Attention to detail and ability to work with complex datasets

Ability to translate business requirements into technical data designs

Experience with version control, testing and deployment practices

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and documentation skills

Open mindset, ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and learn new practices

Preferred Qualifications

Azure Data Engineer certification

Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL

Performance/security-oriented data modeling and data design, including partitions, different type of indexes, views, and most effective data management practices

The salary range for this role is $95,000 to $135,000 or the hourly equivalent.
