We are hiring Structural Welders – Pulse Arc in Newport News, VA to support high-level shipyard production welding. The Structural Welder – Pulse Arc role requires proficiency in GMAW/FCAW pulse processes, all-position structural welding, and meeting stringent QA and WPS compliance for naval and module fabrication work.

Responsibilities

• Perform pulse-arc structural welding (GMAW/FCAW) in all positions per WPS.• Prep, fit, and weld joints while managing distortion, heat input, and weld quality.• Support QA/NDT inspections and complete any required weld repairs.• Read and interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and job specifications.• Follow all shipyard, OSHA, and company safety protocols.

Requirements

• Must have a recent structural weld test; pulse-arc process experience preferred.• Ability to read welding symbols, prints, and work instructions.• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and procedure compliance.• HS Diploma or GED.• Must pass background screening and drug testing.
