A world-class, multi-billion-dollar industrial manufacturing organization seeks to hire a Site Manufacturing Director at their flagship production facility in New Jersey. Reporting to the VP/GM for the site, this high-visibility position will provide hands-on operational leadership while also developing systems and processes to support longer-term strategic objectives. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide leadership across day-to-day manufacturing operations with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity outcomes.
- Lead and develop multi-disciplinary manufacturing teams, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage end-to-end production flow, ensuring alignment between schedules, capacity, inventory, and customer commitments.
- Drive quarter-over-quarter operational improvements through lean manufacturing, process optimization, and Kaizen initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to improve throughput, margin, and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in operational budgeting, capital planning, and execution of approved improvement and automation projects.
- Monitor key operational metrics (scrap, efficiency, delivery, inventory, margin) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while actively promoting a strong EHS culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (engineering/technical is preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive experience within industrial manufacturing environments.
- 4+ years of formalized leadership responsibility.
- Extensive Lean/CI skillset with proven ability to implement these tools to drive operational performance improvements.
- Candidates must be US Citizens or US Green Card holders for consideration.
