Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data / Performance Engineer with strong expertise in storage systems and QA validation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing performance testing strategies across large-scale data platforms and storage infrastructure.

This role requires deep understanding of data engineering, performance benchmarking, and storage validation (SAN/NAS/Object Storage) along with automation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests for data pipelines and storage systems
  • Validate performance of distributed data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, data lakes, warehouses)
  • Perform storage QA testing across:
  • Block storage (SAN)
  • File storage (NAS)
  • Object storage (S3-compatible systems)
  • Develop and maintain automated performance test frameworks
  • Analyze system bottlenecks (CPU, memory, I/O, network throughput) and provide optimization recommendations
  • Collaborate with data engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to improve system performance
  • Create detailed performance reports, dashboards, and SLA metrics
  • Conduct benchmarking and capacity planning for large-scale systems
  • Ensure data integrity, durability, and high availability during testing
