Role and Responsibilities

As an Assistant Operations Manager, you will work alongside the General Manager to oversee daily club operations, ensure exceptional member experiences, and support the club’s overall performance. In this role, you will lead and mentor a dedicated team, uphold service excellence, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

• Recruit, train, and develop Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians.
• Create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for members, guests, and prospects while maintaining high customer service standards.
• Coordinate staff scheduling to ensure full coverage of shifts.
• Lead by example through coaching, training, and accountability.
• Address employee concerns and assist with disciplinary actions in partnership with leadership.
• Oversee front desk operations including calls, check-ins, sign-ups, tours, and account updates.
• Ensure timely opening and closing of the facility and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and take ownership of daily cleaning responsibilities.
• Monitor equipment performance and arrange repairs when needed.
• Support marketing campaigns by training staff on promotions and special offers.
• Authorize expenses and refunds and complete daily bank deposits.
• Submit HR-related documents to Corporate HR as required.
• Track and report club performance metrics weekly, monthly, and annually.
• Provide operational support when team members are unavailable.

Required Skills and Experience

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong passion for fitness and healthy living.
• Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to listen, empathize, resolve issues, and maintain professionalism.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory or leadership roles.
• Background in fitness, health, or wellness industries.

• Hourly wage: $18.00.
