TransUnion is seeking a Manager I, Development Ops to lead cloud infrastructure strategy and execution across engineering teams. This is a remote position with occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at management's discretion.

## What You'll Bring

You'll need 8+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Architecture, Site Reliability Engineering, or related fields, coupled with 3+ years managing and developing engineering teams. Your expertise in AWS is essential—you should be deeply proficient with EC2, EKS, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, and other core AWS services. You have proven success running production-grade Kubernetes environments at scale and can demonstrate strong proficiency in scripting languages like Bash and Python, along with configuration management tools such as Ansible.

A solid understanding of networking, security best practices, containerization, and cloud automation is foundational to this role. You'll bring strategic thinking to complex technical challenges while maintaining hands-on capability across your areas of expertise.

## Impact You'll Make

• *Strategic Leadership & Architecture**

You'll drive the architecture and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS or GCP. You'll lead the design, deployment, and management of large-scale Kubernetes clusters, supporting high-volume workloads (tens of thousands of TPS) with 99.999% reliability. Setting DevOps strategy, standards, and best practices across teams will be central to your contribution, promoting automation, performance, and operational maturity throughout the organization.

• *DevOps & Automation Excellence**

Building and optimizing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines will enable automated testing, security validation, and flawless deployments. You'll establish and enforce Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks using Terraform or CloudFormation, championing continuous improvement through tool evaluation, automation opportunities, and emerging technology adoption.

• *Operations, Monitoring & Security**

Implementing comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and CloudWatch will be part of your responsibilities. You'll ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance policies across cloud and containerized environments, and lead operational reviews, incident analysis, and resilience strategies for mission-critical services.

• *Team Leadership & Collaboration**

Managing and mentoring DevOps engineers while fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and technical excellence is essential to this role. You'll collaborate closely with software engineering, architecture, and product teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the SDLC and build a high-performing team through coaching, upskilling, and performance management.

## Compensation & Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90,000.00 - $168,750 annually. Actual compensation is based on careful consideration of education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, industry knowledge, and the scope and responsibilities of the position along with market considerations.

Regular, full-time non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion's annual bonus plan. Certain positions may also be eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
