Role and Responsibilities
You will support daily operations in the Auto Care Center by performing essential vehicle services while delivering excellent member service. This role focuses on accuracy, safety, and efficiency, ensuring vehicles are serviced according to company standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform basic automotive maintenance services, including oil changes, tire installation, tire rotation, balancing, and battery installation
- Inspect vehicles to identify safety issues or service needs and communicate findings clearly to members
- Use automotive tools and equipment safely to complete services accurately and on time
- Follow Sam’s Club Auto Care Center procedures, safety standards, and compliance requirements
- Provide courteous, professional customer service by explaining services and answering member questions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Accurately complete service documentation and work orders
- Collaborate with team members to meet service goals and improve member satisfaction
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in automotive maintenance or tire service
- Knowledge of basic vehicle systems, including tires, batteries, and lubrication services
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Physical ability to lift, stand, bend, and work in a shop environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive service certifications or technical training
- Experience working in a retail or automotive service center environment
- Knowledge of tire brands, vehicle maintenance schedules, and service best practices
