Job Duties and Responsibilities of Facility Technician

• Perform routine maintenance tasks associated with the facility, including repairs to automatic retrieval systems, dock equipment, and minor electrical devices.
• Conduct inspections of facility assets such as roofs, concrete slabs, and product racking, identifying and addressing any maintenance needs.
• Utilize the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to log time, materials, and completed work orders.
• Assist in special projects related to building or grounds maintenance, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety protocols.
• Participate in departmental on-call program and respond promptly to emergency situations to maintain facility safety.

Qualifications and Experience of Facility Technician

• High School diploma or equivalent; completion of facility maintenance tech school preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations.
• Valid state Driver’s License with proof of liability coverage meeting Sysco standards.
• Prior experience in facility maintenance or related field preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
