We are looking for a skilled Senior Consultant in Data Engineering, specializing in cloud solutions and proficient in Databricks. Ideal candidates will have outstanding client management skills and a proven track record of delivering successful data engineering projects.
Your Role
In this exciting role, you will design and build analytics solutions that add significant business value. Collaborating with data professionals and stakeholders, you will ensure that technical requirements meet business goals, creating scalable data architecture and modeling solutions that support the entire data lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data architecture in cloud environments.
- Convert business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
- Optimize data flows to align with target architecture.
- Develop data engineering solutions using Databricks across platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Interact with clients to understand their data needs and deliver customized solutions.
- Oversee the development of data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, and storage processes.
- Maintain the highest standards of data quality, integrity, and security.
- Mentor junior data engineers and support team members.
- Effectively communicate complex data concepts to various stakeholders.
- Manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction and engagement.

Qualifications Required
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, focused on cloud solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in the data engineering field with a focus on cloud implementations.
- Proficiency in Databricks and experience with Spark for big data processing.
- Demonstrated success in at least two complete data engineering implementations.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or SQL.
- Experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Proven problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in managing client relationships.

- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align data solutions with broader business strategies.
- Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects to ensure timely delivery and adherence to objectives.

- Experience with data quality management practices.
- Familiarity with semantic layers in data architecture.
- Experience with various cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their associated data services.
- Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and tools.

- Competitive base salary range: $106,900 to $176,500 in US locations. For specific areas like New York City Metro, Washington State, and California: $128,400 to $200,600.
