Role and Responsibilities
As a Elementary Afterschool Program Teacher at KinderCare, you will support children through vital developmental stages while maintaining a safe, caring, and inspiring learning environment. You will also collaborate with families and fellow educators to ensure every child receives a meaningful and high-quality early education experience.
- Implement KinderCare’s curriculum and customize lessons to address each child’s developmental needs.
- Create a classroom environment that is protective, engaging, inclusive, and nurturing.
- Develop strong, professional connections with children, families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Work alongside parents to encourage ongoing development and learning outside the classroom.
- Contribute to center goals related to accreditation, enrollment, and community participation.
- Comply with KinderCare operational standards and state licensing requirements.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong customer service skills, effective organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Must meet state hiring qualifications or be willing to complete required training or certification.
- CPR and First Aid Certification, or willingness to complete the certification process.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage in indoor and outdoor activities with children.
- Clear communication skills in English with children, families, and team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or eligibility through NAEYC requirements.
- Two to three years of experience in early childhood education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
- State-approved trainer designation (preferred).
Compensation and Benefits
